Transgender Woman Punched by........

The New York Daily News is reporting that a transgender woman was punched in the face by a Queens purse-snatcher who berated her with anti-gay/trans diatribe. (Source: New York Daily News)

This attack took place at 5:30 in the morning while the 33-year-old was walking down the street.

"You're gay! You're a f---t!" the man screamed at the woman.  "You're not supposed to be on the streets!"

The cretin punched her in the face and ran off with her purse which had around $80.00. 

This is a rather sad story in that someone who was minding their own business was attacked, presumably because she was trans, by some low life knuckle dragging thief.

Unfortunately this type of story is all to common in this day and age.

Tran individuals are attacked, assaulted and murdered on the streets of America on a regular basis.

Just last year 57 transgender or gender non-conforming people were murdered in this country, the majority who were either Black or Hispanic making 2021 the deadliest year on record.  (Source: HRC)

This coupled with the erosion of our rights and freedoms adds to the fear that we must live with until our society can "grow up" enough not to treat us like the garbage.

We are humans, in spite of what those that hate us feel.
