Hi Cuties,
So today I come before you with a question of truth. One that touches upon the actual motivation behind an action rather than the action itself.
I'm talking about the whole Martha's Vineyard debacle and Governor Ron DeSantis.
Does America really care about the victims of this heinous act or is it just a case of "let's hang the bastard"?
The act of course was when cronies of DeSantis roped a bunch of asylum seekers in San Antonio Texas and blew smoke up their ears to convince them to take a little trip to the land of milk and honey, Martha's Vineyard.
Of course some where a little confused because the peeps running the scam promised them they would go to Washington, New York or Boston and they may have alleged that there would be jobs and money and all sorts of really good surprises waiting for them.
Well imagine their surprise when their flight to freedom ended in mess of sour grapes.
Does anyone know what inveigle mean?
But let's give credit where credit is due. The powers that be in MA who were as surprised as their guests did manage to get their shit together in record time.
Everyone got housed and fed and eventually transported to a National Guard Base where they could be cared for properly.
I know the Republicans are calling out the Democrats who populate the vineyard for not opening their homes to these poor waifs.
So let's talk about the architect of this debacle. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (Republican of course).
We probably won't know all the little details until after the trial and it's looking more and more like there will be one with what is being said.
Just the charter of the planes from a company in Oregon to fly to San Antonio, Texas to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts cost the Florida taxpayers a whopping $615,000.00.
Apparently Florida received $12 million in Covid relief funding that the Florida state legislature allowed DeSantis to set aside $8 million to transport migrants out of the state.
So the first question that comes to my mind is how many Floridian migrants were transported with the $615,000.00?
So far it looks like none which begs the question, is this fraud?
I mean if the stated purpose of the money was to remove migrants from Florida and this money was not used for that but for another purpose that wasn't approved, isn't that fraud?
Apparently the actual $12 mil is not actual federal money but interest from federal money then it's not the same as spending fed dollars.
This sounds like a convoluted bunch of bullshit cooked up by the Floridian Fucker himself RDS.
Finally, there is the issue of the asylum seekers who were whisked away. One of the requirements of applying for asylum is that the applicant must check in with the office where they applied and guess what? That's not in Martha's Vineyard.
I guess in the end the migrants get screwed again.
