Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah

December 19, 2022

Hi Cuties,

I know it has been a while since I have published and I really don't have an excuse.

Actually I do have one but I have always been a believer that excuses are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink.

So here we are on the doorstep to the holidays and the end of 2022.

I hope this year has been a good one for you.  I know mine has been very good in some ways and not so good in others but overall the year has been a positive one for me.

Going forward there will be some changes in my online presence.

First things first.  I will not try to go back to publishing every day but I will try to be more consistent with my publishing.  I have not decided on a frequency yet.  Once a week sounds appealing to me or perhaps twice a month.

I would really love to hear from you about what you think.  Unfortunately you have been almost universally silent with regards to my blog.

Yes, no one has directly commented on this blog but me.

I know there are people who read my blog and I would encourage you to help me create new content with your comments and suggestions.

Would you rather I spend more time telling personal stories about my life, growth and personal development or should I focus primarily on reporting the news?  Or should I strive for a balance between the two?

If you are reluctant because you don't want the whole world reading your message you can send me an email that only I get to read at ironicallymeeka@gmail.com.  If you don't want the contents published, just let me know in the email and I will honor your request.

Secondly, I tried my hand at podcasting on my YouTube Channel at Ironically Meeka with rather limited success and I was thinking about giving it another go.  I'm not sure how often I would post an episode but I will see how long it takes me to produce one to my satisfaction and go from there.  Of course if you wanted to throw your two cents in, please be my guest.

So before I go I would like to introduce you to someone who is very special to me.  Maya is a two year old Border-Aussie mix that Vanessa, my fiancĂ©, brought home from the Animal Foundation last August.

She has been the best pet that I or my fiancĂ© have ever had and if you were thinking about adding a pet to your life this holiday season I would urge you to avoid any and all pet stores or breeders.  Instead, give the gift of a life worth living by freeing an animal from a shelter.

Happy holidays.

  2. Hi Ray. Thank you for your comment. You are the first for my blog. There is an About Me page here that you can access via the menu at the top. Of course there is a lot of information sprinkled throughout my posts and more to come. Happy holidays and thanks again.
