Well, there's good news and bad news.

Hi Cuties,

I wish I had nothing but rainbows and sunshine to write about this fine day in early 2023 but this has all the signs of being another shit show of a year.

First a bit of good news.

Maine has granted Andrea Balcer the right to have her gender changed to female in prison records.

Andrea who was convicted of murder in 2018 and sentenced to 40 years will now be eligible for proper medical treatment for her gender dysphoria.

As of right now it is unclear what other accommodations Andrea will receive from the Maine Department of Corrections (MDOC).

Here is the article from Fox News which should be solid gold with the truth, lol.

The World Boxing Council has made a giant leap forward by announcing that they will be introducing a transgender boxing category to address all the uproar.  I'm sure this will last until some cis meat stick sues the Council for discrimination cause they aren't allowed in.  Boo Hoo.

Here is the article from Sky Sports.

Still under the heading of "good" news, an article was published with the five reasons why Ron DeSantis may not be the savior the GOP thinks he is.

What?  Ted Cruz...oops.  Ron DeSantis isn't just a big cuddly teddy of truth, honesty and the American way?  Say it isn't so Slipping Joe.

Here is the article published in LGBTQ Nation.

Now for the not so good news.

The state of Missouri will be forever known as the first state to conduct a state sponsored murder of a transgender person.  I guess in this state there is at least equality on death row.

Here is the story.

It looks like the State of Tennessee is jumping on the anti-trans bandwagon.

Apparently the state is making it very difficult to get doctor approved medical care.

Read all about it.

As of this moment only 25 states and the District of Columbia explicitly cover gender-affirming care in their Medicaid programs while 18 say nothing and 7 actively exclude or ban it.

South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, Nebraska, Missouri and of course Florida have regulations on the books.

While on a federal level, these bans may violate federal law, it has not been turned into a fight in court on that level.

Here is the story.

And finally Tennessee has a bill that would require drunk drivers to pay child support for the survivors if the victim was a parent.

This has to be the smartest thing that I have ever seen and I for one would get behind this going nation wide.

BTW, did you know that the toothbrush was invented in Tennessee?  Anywhere else and it would have been called a teeth brush.
